2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport: A Turn-Key Track Weapon  Nov 19th, 2015
When the Cayman made its debut in 2006, Porsche was clear about its role in the company’s official motorsports program: There wouldn’t be any. At that time, racing was the sole province of the 911. But wait, what’s this? A Cayman with a roll cage. And a gutted interior with set of Schroth six-point racing […]

You wouldn’t know it from the road, but there are typically around 4000 vehicles tucked away awaiting sale at the Copart auction facility in Newburgh, New York. The First Turbocharged Lamborghini Will Be the Urus SUV  Nov 19th, 2015
Lamborghini’s CEO Stefan Winkelman has been outspoken in the past about his distaste for downsizing engines, turbochargers, and hybrid powertrains. That’s why the Aventador and Huracan have remained blissfully naturally aspirated and use tech like auto start-stop and cylinder deactivation to help the small manufacturer meet emissions targets. But soon Lamborghini will double the size of […]
How We’d Spec It: Our 2016 Cadillac CT6? A Hot Rod with a Sound System  Nov 19th, 2015
Cadillac’s new CT6 is an interesting proposition. The GM unit’s interim flagship sits above the CTS, but ultimately will acquiesce its de facto slot at the top of the Cad pyramid to a true S-class competitor. Price-wise, the newest Cadillac starts at $54,490 for a base, turbo-four-powered model. Tick all the boxes and you’ve added […]
Do I need a 3/4 ton or 1/2 ton pickup?  Nov 19th, 2015
The question of weather you should buy a 3/4 or 1/2 ton pickup is one I get asked alot.  The answer is somewhat complicated but all depends on your situation.  Are you going to be pulling with the truck? If you are pulling how heavy of a load and how far a distance?  If you are going to be using it for hauling stuff in the bed you have to decide how much  and how often?
If you are not going to be pulling anything and just using the bed to haul stuff you need to look at the payload.  In a 1/2 ton truck you can expect the payload to be up to 3000 lbs, but personally I wouldn't carry more than 1000-1500 lbs in the box.  If you have ever drove a truck with too much weight in the box it is plain scarry.  In a 3/4 ton your payload reccomendation is 3000-4000 lbs ,  lets face it if you are going to be hauling  a heavy payload in your truck quite often you need a 3/4 ton, if only once in a while a 1/2 ton will work fine.
Towing is where a 3/4 ton really shines.  I have pulled a lot of trailers, boats and campers, some small some very large and the feel with a 3/4 ton is so much more stable and safer feeling that I try to always pull with a 3/4 ton.  If you are only going to be pulling a small utility trailer, 16 ft or under boat or pop up camper a 1/2 ton will do just fine.  Manufactures say you can pull up to 10,000 lbs with a 1/2 ton truck, but if you are going to be pulling a lot you won't like how it handles the load.  Three quarter ton trucks can pull up to 13,000 lbs.  We pull a 45 foot flatbed with a Ford 3/4 ton and it handles it great.  If you decide on a 3/4 ton , then you have to figure out weather you need a gas or diesel, we will talk about that another time .  If you have a larger camper, especially a 5 th wheel, or 20 ft  boat you want a 3/4 ton.
A great place to find information on each model of pickup is at it tells you the specs and there impression of the vehicle.  We carry  between 30-40 trucks of all sizes so go to to see what truck will work for you.
2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport: Not Immortal, But It Has Been Updated  Nov 19th, 2015

2017 Buick LaCrosse Revealed: Its Looks Might Thrill  Nov 18th, 2015
Through two generations, the Buick LaCrosse has barely registered on the Car and Driver radar screen. Many carmakers are fond of employing the term “DNA” in describing their vehicle lineups, but few have as much product justification for doing so as Mazda, and fewer still exhibit as much restraint. Earlier this year, when Volkswagen trotted out its Beetle Denim concept at the New York Auto Show, we lamented that VW hadn’t wholly resurrected the dippier “Jeans” trim from the 1970s. Never a Doubt: GMC Finally Releases the Canyon Denali We’ve Been Expecting  Nov 17th, 2015

2016 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate: The Pinnacle of the Pickup Pinnacle  Nov 17th, 2015
The Denali name already carries with it the implied top-dogness you’d expect being derived from the name of the highest mountain peak in the United States. GMC, though, describes the new-for-2016 Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate as the “pinnacle of premium.” Technically, Denali is the peak—maybe the Denali Ultimate the lookout post perched atop that peak?
